6 steps to build a natural hair care regimen!

A regimen is a set of habits or routines that are followed consistently over time in order to achieve a goal! Building your hair care regimen will involve understanding your hair type and its specific needs. Here are 6 steps to help you build your natural hair care regimen:

  1. Determine your hair type: Understanding your hair type is important in selecting the right products and techniques for your hair. Hair types are generally classified into four categories: straight, wavy, curly, and coily.
  2. Identify your hair concerns: Once you understand your hair type, it’s important to identify your hair concerns. Do you have dry hair? Is your hair prone to frizz? Are you experiencing hair loss or breakage? Understanding your hair concerns will help you select the right products and techniques to address them.
  3. Develop a cleansing routine: A good hair care regimen starts with a solid cleansing routine. This may involve washing your hair with shampoo once a week. It’s crucial to choose products that are specifically formulated for your hair type and concerns.
  4. Invest in the right products: Never compromise on the quality of your Shampoo and Conditioner! Depending on your styling preferences, you may want to use additional styling products like mousse, gel, or hair oil. Wash n go’s work best with a mousse – don’t let anyone fool ya!
  5. Create the routine: Once you have selected the right products and techniques (e.g LOC or LCO) that work for your hair type and concerns, create a routine that you can stick to. How often will you deep condition? Are you tracking your progress? etc.
  6. Note, Change begins on the inside out: Finally, it’s important to remember that healthy hair starts from the inside out. Eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough sleep can all help support healthy hair growth and maintenance. Nutrition is key!

Remember, it may take some experimentation to find the techniques that work best for your hair. Be patient, and don’t be afraid to switch things up if something isn’t working. Your desired results will come!
